What does the coating actually do?
It is intended to reduce infrared and solar heat passing through panoramic glass while maintaining a clear appearance. Performance values are targets pending final production and independent testing.
Which kit size should I buy?
Choose Sedan for smaller and midsize roofs, SUV for larger roof areas, and Model Y for the dedicated Tesla configuration.
Can I use it on side windows or the windshield?
This product is designed for panoramic roof glass only. Do not apply it to a windshield, driver-view area, plastic panel, or aftermarket film unless the final technical documentation explicitly approves that surface.
Will it make the roof darker?
The intended finish is clear. Thermexor is engineered as a clear finish. Visible-light transmission values are measured on production-formula coated automotive glass.
Application & care
Time, weather, and washing: what a home application really involves.
How long does application take?
The working target is approximately 20 minutes after preparation. Prep takes about 5 minutes. The coating is touch-dry in 1 hour and fully cured in 24 hours under normal conditions.
What weather do I need?
Apply in a clean, shaded, well-ventilated space within the verified temperature and humidity range, with no rain expected during the initial cure period.
What if I make a mistake?
Minor streaks or uneven areas can often be corrected while the coating is still workable. If you hit an issue, send us photos of the affected area through the contact form and we will guide you through the correction process.
How should I wash the roof afterward?
Wait 48 hours before the first wash. Use pH-neutral car wash soap. Avoid automatic car washes with abrasive brushes.
